John Davidson, President, Carbon Fibre Technologies International to Chair GOCarbonFibre2012 conference
John Davidson has been in the carbon fibre industry for 29 years, mainly in the production of carbon fibre. He started his career with RK Carbon in England and Scotland where he was involved in domestic capacity expansion and international technology transfer projects.
In 1997 when SGL acquired RK he was appointed Project Manager for a £25m capacity increase project in Scotland. In 2003 he became Managing Director of Milled Carbon Ltd where he developed the first commercial continuous carbon fibre composite recycling process. This process has recently been acquired by German metals company ELG.
In 2009 he set up his own company, Carbon Fibre Technologies International Ltd, to service an increasing number of enquiries for carbon fibre manufacturing technology. He is currently involved in several carbon fibre technology transfer projects throughout the world.
John has attended GOCarbonFibre numerous times in the past and his experience, knowledge and insight will have a strong influence in generating a forward thinking conference agenda for 2012. IntertechPira is looking forward to working with John, as we build on the great success of the 2011 Seattle conference to bring you an even bigger and better event in London 2012.
Further details on the Programme Committee and agenda will be featured on the website in due course. In the meantime, you can see our line up of speakers in Seattle here.
