It's that time of year again; the team at GOCarbonFibre are busy pulling together another eclectic conference programme for you. Because we are the premier European carbon fibre conference we are able to bring you many of the major players in our industry, and maybe some you haven't heard of. We don't just focus on composites, we look at all aspects of the supply chain, from polymer to part.
So why should you attend?
To have the opportunity to understand what our industry is doing, what new ideas, new methods, are being researched is vitally important to future success. In addition, being in a room full of like minded people sharpens the mind, it awakens the dormant spark that takes you to your next discovery, be it technical or personal.
Topics discussed at previous conferences include alternative PAN and precursor methods, lightweighting, novel approaches to composite manufacturing, sustainable materials and methods, recycling and CFPRs, new technologies for carbon fibre production and much more.
Most of all though, you shouldn't be afraid of sharing your opinions in an open forum. You will be surprised at just how quickly you will warm to the stimulating discussions we have.
Who should attend?
Anyone who has an interest in improving their understanding of our industry. From Students to CEOs, there is something, or someone, here for everyone. We have topics that will be of interest to the full business spectrum, as our conference is not just technically focused.
Previous attendees include Boeing, Airbus, BMW, College of Aviation Technology, Imperial College London, Despatch, ELG Carbon Fibre, DowAksa, Mitsubishi Rayon, Michelman, Harper International, SGL Group, Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan and many more. You can view the full list of those that attended in 2016 here.
I have been involved with GOCarbonFibre since 2008, both as a presenter and as Chair, and I like to think that we have slowly but surely found our place in the world. We have grown into a well rounded conference which endeavours each year to bring new possibilities in a shared vision.
I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones in Munich this October. You can book your ticket at the Super Early Bird rate of just €1,099 to join me here.
