Ahead of GOCarbonFibre 2017, Green Alliance have shared their report on 'Getting it right from the start: Developing a circular economy for novel materials' written by Jonny Hazell, a presenter at last year's conference.
The report focuses on current challenges faced with reusing carbon fibre composites and opportunities for a more circular economy. It illustrates the thought process needed for a good fit between material innovation and the circular economy, demonstrates the clear need for colloboration across the supply chain and provides a methodology aimed at helping companies with the process of thinking ahead and ensuring materials are designed to be reusable, recoverable and reyclable from the outset. The report also covers bioplastics and additive manufacturing circular economy opportunities.
